Excuse the golfing pun, but perhaps this great shot of three GTIs racing at Silverstone makes up for it.  Of course, I picked the image showing number 24 in front (after all, it's my Blog), but at various stages, Simon (yellow and blue GTI) and Mark (white GTI) led this pack as we squabbled over 16th position.

As did the other two members of our midfield group (not shown).  But if I'd included Robin (Beetle) and the other Simon (Caddy), it would have spoiled the caption.
