Introduction

This is the journal of a racing driver. Which is a bit of a of a surprise to me as, until recently, I thought that being a racing driver was something that other people did. Then I saw an opportunity and took it. So now, this is my journal.

Of course I always knew that the time would come for the the Championship to arrive in Holland, at former F1 track Circuit Park Zandvoort, for Round Two, and I suppose that I always knew I wouldn’t be joining in. It is said that you never forget a good teacher. Mr. Chambers taught me English. Together we read Larkin and Hughes and Hardy and studied grammar and spelling and all was good.
